We Have Arrived in Brazil.......Our missionary families have arrived in Brazil and have begun to lay the ground work for our new Missionary Training Center in Goiania, Goias. Our goal is to have the school up and running in the coming months. There have been many trials but God has been faithful to us. There are many people who are interested in becoming students and the support of the local pastors has been remarkable. We covet your prayers for the work ahead and have compiled a small list of some of our needs.
1. Pray for God to be glorified. We cannot stress how important this is. All creation exists for this very purpose. If we are not glorifying Him in all that we do, then we are wasting our time.
2. Pray for the perfect place to have the training center. As of now we don't have a location to house the students and conduct the training. We have many local pastors helping us and for that we are grateful, however, we need the provision of God.
3. Pray for funds. Specifically we will need to purchase land, buildings, beds, desks, chairs, etc.
4. Pray for our missionaries. Moving to a new country can be difficult and they have experienced some personal trials already. Ask God to protect them and keep them focused on the task at hand.
The Philippines
Building A New Church
We are praising God that due to the generosity of our friends and partners, we were able to send the necessary funds to build the new church building in Baliguian! Construction will begin this month. Baliguian is a city located on the far west side of Mindanao. We currently have one church plant there, and due to the Muslim extremest, this is the hardest and most dangerous place where our missionaries work. For them to have a church building where they can meet and fellowship is an incalculable blessing.
The Tribal Missions Training Center
The third group of students will begin their training next month. We ask that you would pray for the right students to be there and that their hearts will be ready for the work ahead.
Church Planting
Many of our recent graduates have now moved into the places where they will be planting new churches. We are especially focusing our efforts on a city called Osmena. Please join us in praying for a powerful move of God in this city and on the entire island of Mindanao.
Thank You
